There’s a huge day ahead for as the technology giant prepares to reveal a host of new innovations at its yearly WWDC developers conference.

The major event usually sees Apple unveil its latest iPhone, Mac and Watch software updates but this year could also see some new products taking to the stage in San Jose.

This new device could go head-to-head with the Amazon’s hugely popular Echo and will be Siri-enabled allowing users to play music, set timers and answer questions via their voice.

Little is known about this new device but Bloomberg recently reported that some top Apple staff have been testing this new speaker inside their homes for several months. 

Other reports have suggested that the smart music maker will be aimed at the more premium end of the market.

Amazon’s Echo currently costs £149 but it seems Apple’s rival will land in homes at a higher price.

Along with the new speaker it’s also thought new iPad Pro tablets could be revealed at WWDC.

A recent leaked image has given a glimpse of a new 10.5-inch iPad with thinner bezels meaning a much bigger screen can be squeezed into its aluminium shell.

A brighter display, faster processor and improved Apple Pencil experience are all expected and Apple may even upgrade their hugely popular keyboard case which transforms the tablet into a mini laptop.

Although Apple has recently released a lower priced iPad, , its Pro range hasn't had an update for sometime.

In fact, the 12.9-inch device hasn’t been upgrade since it was launched in September 2015.

Apple recently updated its MacBook Pro range which now includes a bigger trackpad and new Touch Bar.

However, many experts believe these machines could get another boost with faster processors and improved battery life.

Apple’s iMac range is also in desperate need of a refresh and this popular desktop computer could be in for some changes at WWDC.

Apple has already launched a number of new products this year including the RED iPhone 7 and a new, cheaper iPad.

The US technology giant has also which is aimed at helping everyone create instant mini movies.

The simple app automatically edits together live or pre-recorded videos, photos and voice clips with easy controls allowing the videos to be produced and shared in seconds.

Clips makes things incredibly simple with one-touch controls but more advanced features are also on offer for those wanting to add some extra excitement to their movies.

Clips also introduces Live Titles, a breakthrough feature that lets users create animated captions and titles using just the power of their voice.

Users simply speak into their iPhone or iPad's microphone with the words then appearing in the clip.
