Microsoft is rolling out a new and much improved OneDrive app for those using a Mac on the Apple App Store. The company is focusing heavily on improving the sharing experience for files on OneDrive with the latest update, similar to the recent updates on Windows 10. With the new OneDrive update, users can get access to some of the handiest OneDrive controls right from their context menu on Finder. This isn’t enabled by default, and you will need to enable the OneDrive Finder Extensions for it to actually work.

Microsoft is also adding the ability to share files and folders from the context menu on Finder for personal, work, and even education accounts with the new OneDrive update. The company has also added more detailed information to the activity center, where users will be able to get some important information about their downloaded files such as the download date, location, etc.

There isn’t a lot to the new OneDrive update, but Microsoft fixed two critical issues in the app with the latest update. First, the syncing issues should now be fixed and the maximum file path limit for users using a work or education Office account has also been fixed.

If you use OneDrive on the Mac, you can get it from the App Store here.
