Mobile developer Disruptor Beam is taking a crack at The Walking Dead franchise in March to War, and we finally got our first look at the game. The Walking Dead: March to War takes a different path than the familiar series by Telltale. It's a base-buidling and survival game rolled into one, and it looks quite sharp.

The reveal trailer shows some mighty impressive visuals with familiar landmarks rendered rather faithfully. While it looks pretty standard for a base-builder as far as mechanics go, the idea of surviving in a city alongside other live players shows some promise.

You'll also add NPC survivors to your base, each of which has their own unique set of skills, which adds an interesting layer of depth. Some survivors you meet may be good at gathering food, while others may possess medical skills. These characters will also have distinct personalities, forcing you to put some emotional investment into the game, too.

You can try The Walking Dead: March to War for yourself when the game launches later this year on both iOS and Android.
