Watching Apple since 1999. I don't say what they should do. I say what they might do. They sometimes do.

Flash what a joke. I think i have had 2 updates in the past 5 days? So many security holes not even funny. I am amazed how many companies insist on still using it. Steve was right to drop it, not that Apple doesn’t have as many issues in other technology they own.

It’s even worse than it looks at first glance. Adobe bought Macromedia solely to get Flash, which meant that great programs like FreeHand that had to go along for the ride and were inexplicably euthanized just to prop up their own efforts. I never warmed up to Illustrator and it never matched FreeHand’s abilities, even to this day. And he lack of competition is still VERY evident. Sigh.

So many of my design friends were very upset at the loss of Freehand. Some kept veteran macs around till relatively recently solely so they could continue using it.
