Clearing out the logs of everyone who has called your iPhone in the last few weeks is an easy thing to do. In fact, you can remove single entries or the complete list with just a few swipes. In this article we show you how to erase the past, and delete the call history on your iPhone.
How to delete a single call
If you’ve got just one or two calls that you want to get rid of – say you’re planning a surprise party and don’t want your partner accidentally seeing that you’ve been chatting to their old friends – then it’s a very simple process.
On the Home page tap the green Phone icon, then tap on the Recents option at the bottom of the screen.
Scroll through the list of phone numbers until you find the one you want to remove. Now swipe left on the one in question and you’ll see a red Delete option appear on the right.
Tap this and the number will be deleted.
How to delete the complete call history
If you want to erase the whole kit and caboodle, then that’s not a problem either.
Select the green Phone icon on the Home page, then tap the Recents icon at the bottom of the screen. Now, you’ll see the list of all the phone calls you’ve made and received recently.
In the upper right-hand corner, you’ll find the Edit option. Tap this and little red circles will appear to the left of every number.
In the top left corner, you’ll see the Clear option. Tap this and a dialog box will appear at the bottom of the screen giving you the option to Clear All Recents.
Tap this and all the numbers will be removed from the list, leaving you a blank slate with which to start again.
