Belkin Announces New Wireless Fast Charging Pads, Stands For iPhone X, 8, 8 Plus

We haven’t even got to the point of kicking this year’s Consumer Electronics Show off properly – that isn’t until next week – but that is not going to stop any company from starting to announce products.

Take accessory maker Belkin, for example, with the company announcing a raft of new wireless charging pads and stands for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X.

Kicking things off, we have the Belkin Boost Up Bold Wireless Charging Pad, which, apart from having a stupendously long name, is similar to the existing Belkin Boost Up Charging Pad that can be bought from Apple. The difference here is that it comes in different colors. Featuring 10W output, this pad will fast charge all Qi-enabled smartphones, which is good news for those with non-Apple devices. Colors include black, pink, white, and navy, so all tastes should be covered.

Moving on, and for those who prefer their phones to be vertical when charging, we have the Belkin Boost Up Wireless Charging Stand. For all intents and purposes this is identical to the Bold, but this time with a stand that allows the whole thing to be propped up, which in turn means your smartphone can also be stood up. This kind of charger is perfect for keeping on a desk or a nightstand, making it easy to see the time or notifications at a glance. It also ensures Face ID can work, too.

Next up is the Boost Up Wireless Car Charging Mount, which is exactly what it sounds like – a wireless charger for your car. Mountable on a car window or dash, it can be adjusted to fit different phones and again, offers the same 10W fast charging capability that the Qi standard offers.

Finally, there is the Boost Up Dual Wireless Charging Pad that is designed to charge two devices at once. Think two Bold pads side-by-side and you won’t be far off.

There is actually another announcement that will be of less interest to most people, unless you are buying for commercial use. The Boost Up Wireless Charging System can be installed in offices, restaurants or anywhere that allows mountable applications.

None of these accessories have pricing that has been announced as yet, but they will all ship in spring or summer of 2018 – no firm dates are available, unfortunately.
