Apple has been moving swiftly into the world of original television programming, and its latest project is a futuristic drama from the director of the Hunger Games franchise. Deadline reports that the company has placed a straight-to-series order for See, described as “an epic, world-building drama” that will be written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and directed by filmmaker Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2).

Last year, Apple reportedly invested $1 billion in acquiring and producing original content with the goal of matching networks like HBO and streaming services like Netflix. See is the latest in what has become a series of aggressive movies. In October, the company moved forward with a reboot of the Steven Spielberg anthology series Amazing Stories, and it’s since ordered a space drama from Battlestar Galactica creator Ronald D. Moore, and a drama about a network morning show that will star Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. Earlier this month, the company also ordered a docu-series exploring “extraordinary” homes.

The company has yet to announce how it’ll distribute these shows. Although Apple has used Apple Music to air shows like Carpool Karaoke, a music streaming service can’t compete with platforms like Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu, especially when they have original content of their own to attract viewers. That Apple is working so steadily to attract big names before it’s announced a place to air them suggests that it has bigger plans in mind — and the Hollywood community seems ready to help.
