Microsoft is rolling out a major new performance-enhancing update for Cortana on the iPhone this week. The new update apparently boosts the startup times of Cortana by a whopping 20%, according to Microsoft. That could be 2 seconds faster, or a few milliseconds faster — Microsoft isn’t sharing the specifics.
Along with the massive increase in the startup time, the latest Cortana update features the usual bug fixes and minor performance improvements. On my iPhone X, the new Cortana update certainly feels faster when starting up, and the overall performance of the app also seems a tad bit faster.
