While everyone’s waiting for Microsoft to compile the RTM build of Windows 10 Redstone 4 (and to actually give the upcoming release an official name), the company continues working on it with help from insiders, and today it shipped another preview build to those in the Fast ring.

Windows 10 build 17127 comes with several Cortana improvements, so if you’re an avid user of the digital assistant, there’s a good chance you’re going to like this release.

Cortana improvements

First and foremost, with build 17127 Cortana gets a new profile page with a service-side update that lets you manage your favorite locations. The same design will soon be used for other features, like Interests, Family, and Accounts.

Additionally, Microsoft has also improved Cortana’s Notebook feature, and the company says the new design rolled out earlier this year is available to all supported markets. Furthermore, there are performance improvements that should make the Notebook load faster.

And last but not least, Microsoft has refined the Skill experience in Cortana’s Notebook, offering a set of tips for questions that you can ask Cortana and thus configure it correctly.

Since all these updates take place on Microsoft’s servers, both Redstone 4 and Redstone 5 users are going to see them, and the company says that it’s critical for insiders to send feedback on them.

This build also comes with a bunch of other changes, improvements, and fixes, and you can check out the full release notes in the box after the jump.

Of particular note is that there are no known issues in this build, which means Microsoft has managed to iron out the majority of bugs. This can only be good news for Windows 10 users, especially because the release of Redstone 4 is just around the corner and users in the production ring should be provided with flawless experience.
