Apple is expected to host an event on the 27th of March where if the rumors are to be believed, Apple will be unveiling a new iPad. Unfortunately if you were hoping to tune into the event and livestream it, prepare to be disappointed because it appears that unlike Apple’s events in the past, this particular event will not be able to livestream.

This was spotted by MacRumors via the Events app on the Apple TV. According to the caption of the event, it suggests that users will only be able to view the event after it has taken place. “Watch the special event—held at Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago, Illinois—after it concludes.”

This means that if you were hoping to be there to catch any product announcements, you’ll have to wait for either the press to break the news or wait until after the event has occurred in order to find out more. We’re not sure why Apple is choosing not to livestream this particular event since it has been typically been the case for the past few years, but for now this is the only watch to watch it.

However given that the event is more of an education-focused event, perhaps Apple did not see the need to broadcast it to the public as maybe the general public isn’t really the target audience.
