Oracle Strengthens Presence in Kuwait; Omar Draghmeh Appointed Country Leader

Omar Draghmeh, Regional Country Leader at Oracle for Kuwait and Bahrain

Oracle today announced the appointment of Omar Draghmeh as the new Regional Country Leader for Kuwait and Bahrain. Omar will be responsible for accelerating the adoption of Oracle Cloud solutions, identify new growth opportunities and enhance engagement with key stakeholders in the country.

IDC in fact estimates that IT spending in Kuwait will reach USD 1.7 billion in 2018[1]”, said Abdul Rahman Al Thehaiban, Senior Vice President – Technology, Middle East and Africa, Oracle. “Omar joins Oracle at a pivotal time, when we are witnessing rapid adoption of Oracle Cloud in Kuwait and our customers are looking to initiate transformative projects using our latest Cloud innovations. We are confident that under Omar’s leadership, Oracle will emerge as the preferred Cloud vendor in the country.”

With more than 25 years of experience across key leadership roles in the region, Omar joins Oracle from Hewlett Packard where he held the role of Managing Director and Enterprise Group GM – Kuwait and Bahrain. Previously, Omar was the Director for Government Sector at Microsoft Saudi Arabia.
