AMD is preparing to launch its upcoming Ryzen 2000 products later this month which also include AMD Ryzen 5 2600X and the Ryzen 7 2700X and while these CPUs aren’t released yet but some enthusiasts have already gotten their hands on them and are overclocking them to see just how far AMD Ryzen 2000 CPUs can be pushed.

One particular PC enthusiast by the name of “TSAIK” recently submitted his results for overclocking AMD Ryzen 5 2600X and Ryzen 7 2700X and things look very good for those who would like to overclock these CPUs as he was able to overclock these CPUs to run at 5.8 GHz clock speed across all cores.

The AMD Ryzen 5 2600X has a base clock of 3.6GHz and a boost clock of 4.2GHz and he was able to push it to 5883 MHz (5.8 GHz) clock-speed across all 6 Cores using liquid nitrogen as a cooling method. The motherboard used to overclock the CPU was MSI X470 GAMING PLUS motherboard.

As for the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, this CPU has a base clock of 3.7GHz and a boost clock of 4.3GHz. TSAIK was able to run this CPU at 5884MHz (5.8 GHz) across all 8 cores using the MSI X470 GAMING M7 AC motherboard.

These overclock results show that Ryzen 5 2600X and Ryzen 7 2700X has a lot of headroom to spare and can achieve higher clock speeds if the user desires to.

In related news, while Ryzen 2000 products haven’t released yet but AMD is already working on Zen 5 Micro-Architecture. According to lead Zen architect Mike Clark, he is working on Zen 5 mico-architecture.

Not only that, AMD has confirmed that it has pulled some of the members of Zen micro-architecture team to its Radeon Graphics department to give its upcoming GPUs a boost in power and performance.

What do you think of AMD Ryzen 5 2600X And Ryzen 7 2700X running at 5.8 GHz clock-speed across all cores? Let us know in the comments.
