Honor is more known for its smartphones and wearables but the firm also has products meant for the home. The company has now released a laptop, that looks quite sleek and offers Intel's 8th-gen processors.
As you can see from the design, the laptop offers a clean look that is reminiscent of Apple's MacBooks. The MagicBook has a 14-inch matte 1080p IPS LCD panel with a 800:1 contrast and up to 250 nits of brightness. It arrives in two variants, with one offering an i5-8250u processor, while the other one has an i7-8550u processor. Both models of the laptop have 8GB RAM and also pack 256GB of internal storage via a SATA SSD. As for its graphical prowess, it relies on Nvidia's MX150 dGPU with 2GB of GDDR5 memory.
As far as the battery goes, it offers a 57.4 Wh battery that is estimated to provide up to 12 hours of life on a single charge. It can be charged using the laptop's USB Type C port. As mentioned before, the laptop is quite sleek, thanks to its aluminum chassis which measures in at 15.8mm thick and weighs in at 1.47kg.
The unit will have one USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 Type A port, HDMI, and a 3.5mm headphone jack that can be used for input and output. Despite its profile, the laptop will have four speakers with support for Dolby Atmos. For added security, users will be able to take advantage the unit's fingerprint reader. If you are in China, you'll be able to order the i5 model for ¥4,999 and the i7 model for ¥5,699. Unfortunately, it is unknown at the moment whether a global release is in the works.
