Ark: Survival Evolved, the popular survival game from Studio Wildcard, is going mobile. You’ll be able to download it on Android and iOS next week, and it will be completely free-to-play.

Will you learn to survive in a world dominated by dinosaurs?

Ark made its debut on Mac, PC, and consoles last August. Despite mostly positive reviews, interest in the game died down relatively quickly after similar survival titles flooded the market. But that doesn’t mean Ark isn’t an awesome game.

Ark is all about staying alive

After being stranded on the shores of a mysterious island, you’re forced to quickly learn how to survive. You’ll have to harvest resources, craft essential items, grow your own crops, and build shelters that will protect you from the elements.

What makes Ark even more exciting is that it’s filled with more than 100 primeval creatures. You can tame them, train them, breed them, and ride them around the island on your pursuit for food and resources.

Free-to-play

Ark lets you play alone or online with up to 50 others. It’s completely free-to-play, and though there are in-app purchases that unlock some items, they can all be earned without coughing up any cash.

If you want to, you can subscribe to the Primal Pass, which gives you a permanent double XP bonus, removes all ads, provides early access to news and special events, and lets you play on Primal Pass exclusive servers. It’s priced at $3.99 a month or $34.99 a year.

You’ll be able to download Ark: Survival Evolved from the App Store and Google Play on June 14.
