Apple releases iOS 12 Developer beta 2
Apple has shipped iOS 12 Developer beta 2, and while the software remains feature incomplete it proves that beta means beta and things can change before release.
For example, one thing that’s changed in this release is the charts for Battery usage.
There are numerous bugs in the beta, but these aren’t really worth a mention — bugs and the eradication of them is what beta software is designed to identify and resolve.
What may be of most interest to users and developers will likely be the following:
- This “edition” of the OS may introduce the new USB-based security measures to prevent third parties hacking into iPhones over the USB port.
- Enhancements to to Core ML should also be of interest as Apple makes an AI that assists, rather than dictates, user behaviour.
