Lenovo shows off new US$1,600 gaming laptops with monster specs

Lenovo's new Legion Y730 gaming laptop offers Intel Core i7 processors, up to 32 GB of RAM and Nvidia's Geforce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. You can also pay more for a full-HD display. — dpa

Lenovo is expanding its Legion series of gaming computers, with the Chinese manufacturer announcing six new notebooks, towers and compact PCs tailored to gamers' needs.

The Y530 and Y730 notebooks are available with Intel Core i7 processors, up to 32 GB of RAM and Nvidia's Geforce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card.

The Legion Y730 also features a Dolby Atmos sound system. For an extra charge, it can come with a Full HD display (1920 to 1080 pixels) with a 144 Hertz refresh rate.

The Y730 will be available in 15 and 17 inches versions from November, starting at a price of around US$1,600 (RM6,461) while the 15-inch Y530 will be on sale from August for around US$1,200 (RM4,846).

The T530 and T730 towers are gaming PCs with Intel Core i7 processors, up to 32 GB of RAM and Nvidia's Geforce GTX 1060 graphics card. They also have quiet fans and optional liquid cooling.

Prices start at around US$1,000 (RM4,039) for the smaller T530 while the T730 will cost around €1,600 (RM7,525). Both will be on sale from August.

For gamers on the go, Levono is offering two compact and portable PCs, the C530 and the C730. Inside are Intel's Core i7 processors, up to 32 GB of RAM and Nvidia's Geforce GTX 1060 graphics card.

The C530 starts at around US$1,000 while the C730 in minimum configuration costs around US$1,600. Both the C- and the T-series in their basic configuration support the use of VR headsets. — dpa
