Infowars, a privately owned conspiracy blog, is currently being owned in public. After getting booted from platforms by Apple, Facebook, and other major companies, Infowars founder Alex Jones and his staff have been melting down even more than the usual amount. Their complaint: companies like Facebook are censoring them as part of a left-wing conspiracy to silence conservative voices, and this is unfair!

Now let’s see what Infowars says about censoring people on its own website:

You will not post anything libelous, defamatory, harmful, threatening, harassing, abusive, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, racially or ethnically objectionable, or otherwise illegal.

You will not make threats to other users or people not associated with the site.

If you violate these rules, your posts and/or user name will be deleted.

Remember: you are a guest here. It is not censorship if you violate the rules and your post is deleted. All civilizations have rules and if you violate them you can expect to be ostracized from the tribe.

Indeed, no company that hosts other people’s content on the internet would ever cede the right to purge content that it finds objectionable because that would create an insane situation where you are forced to host anything people can put on your site. Even Alex Jones — who once said the government puts chemicals in the water to make frogs gay — isn’t that crazy.
