A few days after Microsoft announced the addition of Shopping Cart to the Store on Windows 10 devices and the Xbox One, the software giant has now taken the feature offline as part of an effort to fix and improve it. Xbox Program Manager Brad Rossetti announced the company's move on Twitter, saying that it will make changes to the Shopping Cart feature for the Xbox Store based on feedback from Insiders.
The Shopping Cart feature is planned for rollout to Insiders in the Ship Ahead, Preview Alpha, and Preview Beta rings of the Xbox Insider Program, though it has also been spotted on Windows 10 devices outside of the Insiders build program. The capability allows users to access the items they have added to the cart through a new icon sitting next to the Search button.
Throughout the testing phase, several known issues with the Shopping Cart surfaced such as the discrepancies between the contents of the users' anonymous shopping carts once they toggle between "Do not track" and "Allow anonymous tracking" on PC. Xbox also had some issues with navigating carousels of products from the Cart page. Rossetti said the feature will return to the Xbox Store in the coming weeks once those and other issues are addressed.
