Microsoft releases Windows 10 build 17744.1004 to the Slow ring with fixes

A week ago, Microsoft released Windows 10 Insider Preview build 17744 to the Slow ring. Those using the build will find that they have an update waiting today, which is KB4462775, and that brings the build number to 17744.1004.

The cumulative update contains a couple of fixes:

  • A reliability issue where restart warnings is not displayed for user-scheduled update restart.

  • Security Configuration and Analysis snap-in for Microsoft Management Console does not list System Services.

Microsoft also says that the cumulative update is packed using a new design, so the machine can download it more efficiency. Right now, this is exclusive to Redstone 5 builds, but once the Windows 10 October 2018 Update ships, it should be available for anyone on the new version of Windows.

As usual, if you're on the Slow ring, you can download today's cumulative update through Windows Update. If you're not and you want to be, you can enroll by going to the Windows Insider Program tab, and clicking 'Get started'.
