The Public Betas listed below are pre-release versions of the forthcoming ChronoSync v10.0 and ChronoAgent v2.0.0. Though not quite finished, they are both near final form. They have received extensive in-house testing over the past several months, but nothing puts a product through its paces quite like the end user. The literally thousands of different system configurations and usage patterns of our customers is something that we simply cannot reproduce in the lab. Thus we are inviting you to take ChronoSync and ChronoAgent for a spin and see how they work for you.

ChronoSync 11.0 Public Beta

The Public Beta listed below is a pre-release version of the forthcoming ChronoSync v11.0. Though not quite finished, it is in near-final form. While it has received significant in-house testing over the past several months, nothing puts a product through its paces quite like the end user. The (literally) thousands of different system configurations and usage patterns of our customers is something that we simply cannot reproduce in the lab. Thus we are inviting you to take ChronoSync for a spin and see how it works for you.

A Word Of Caution!

When Apple released macOS 14 (Sonoma) they also released updates for their older versions of the OS. Those updates contained a fix for a security issue with File Providers. However, on macOS 13.6 (Ventura) and macOS 12.7 (Monterey), that “fix” actually broke the ability for apps to retrieve a list of available File Providers. Essentially, this means that ChronoSync is not able to utilize File Providers on those two versions of the OS. Luckily, this issue is confined to only those two, specific, versions of the OS (13.6 and 12.7), and does not affect ChronoSync’s ability to utilize File Providers on other versions of the OS. We’ve reported the issue to Apple and they have begun an investigation. We’re confident that they will either declare it a “bug” and fix it in a future release, or they will provide us with a workaround.

What does this mean for you? If you are running Sonoma, or an older version of Ventura or Monterey, then you can make use of ChronoSync’s new File Provider functionality, right now. If you are running macOS 13.6 or macOS 12.7, then you won’t be able to use ChronoSync’s new File Provider feature until a solution to the problem has been found.

Test It!

Download and install ChronoSync 11 on a non-critical Mac and then dive into experimenting with all of the new features. A complete list of the new features is included in the download. However, one of the main features to focus on in your testing would be with the connectivity with the new supported cloud services.  Which includes:

  • Dropbox
  • Google Drive
  • Box
  • OneDrive
