Pre-orders for the iPhone XR have started arriving to customers around the world. Select Apple Stores have also opened with the new iPhone on display. While it's all fine and dandy, there does not seem to be official Apple cases in sight. Macotakara made a visit to the Nagoya Sakae Apple Store in Japan to have a closer look at the device. The store had all six color variants of the device on display which includes black, white, blue, coral, yellow and PRODUCT (RED). However, the condition is not the same for official Apple cases. Let's see some more details on it.

iPhone XR Now On Sale is Select Apple Stores, No Sign of Official Apple Cases So Far

The accessory section at the Apple Store does not feature official Apple cases and display only selected number of third-party cases for the iPhone XR. However, it might be too early to analyze the condition of official Apple cases. Nonetheless, the cases will be made available soon. Apple has a new clear case for the iPhone XR which makes sense taking the design approach into consideration.

The clear case would simply provide a protective layer over your iPhone XR without you having to hide the color. Since color is one of the main visual aspects of the device, it makes perfect sense for Apple to offer a clear case. However, the case is yet to be found along with other official Apple cases like the typical leather and silicone cases.

While the official Apple cases will arrive eventually, we can presume that they will be made available as soon as the company refreshes its Apple Online Store after Apple's October 30 event. For now, if you're planning on getting the iPhone XR, you can make use of the third-party cases.

The iPhone XR is pretty similar to its flagship siblings in many ways. It features the same notch design with Face ID and minimal bezels which are comparatively thicker but the general approach remains the same. Despite the fact that the iPhone XR features 3GB of RAM instead of 4GB on the iPhone XS and XS Max, performance will continue to fly off the charts thanks to the 7nm A12 Bionic chip.

There will be more to the story, so be sure to stay tuned in for more details on the subject. We will update you guys on the official Apple cases so stick around for that as well. Again, we would like to mention that the iPhone XR is now available in select Apple Stores, so be sure to check yours.
