Tracker: Mojave 10.14.1

Remember, remember.

Try It

LONDON (Rixstep) — Mojave 10.14.1 is upon us, and Tracker is on hand this time to inspect what's been done.

This was not possible for the big leap to Mojave 10.14.0, due to Apple's destruction of the age-old 'defaults' system created at NeXTSTEP.

But Tracker has, since then, been refactored, and this time was able to be on hand for the entire show.

YMM will of course V, but things should still be in the same ballpark.

All told, the 10.14.1 update accessed 138,183 files and created or modified 79,462.

The new Tracker can both choose directories to scan and choose directories to skip. This particular session, for the upgrade to Mojave 10.14.1, encompassed the entire file system, with no exceptions.

The time given, between 'Start' and 'Stop', is the time from setting the stamp prior to reboot and commencing the scan for all file system changes. (The actual scan takes less than five minutes.)

 Start: Mon Nov 5 14:12:38 2018
  Stop: Mon Nov 5 15:10:34 2018

The new version of Tracker and the ACP for Mojave goes out to clients later this week.
