More people are hoping for an Apple Watch than an iPad or MacBook this holiday season, a sign of the growing popularity of this wearable.
That said, plenty of people want this company’s tablets and notebooks too. And a shiny new iPhone is the item Apple fans are wishing for the most .
Used electronics reseller Gazelle polled consumers about their holiday gift hopes and found that four of the top five most wished-for items all come from Apple.
An iPhone is the hope of 21 percent of respondents. An Apple Watch is on the wish list of 17 percent of them, while an iPad is right behind at 16 percent. A MacBook is what 14 percent of respondents are looking for.
Still, Apple doesn’t completely dominate holiday wish lists: 23 percent of people want a Ssamsung handset
Growth of Apple Watch
Apple Watch stated out slowly in 2015, but sales have picked up considerably since then. There are expected to be 24 million of these wearables sold in 2018, up from about 11 or 12 million in the first year it was available.
And strong growth continues. Analysts predict sales could by up 40 percent next year.
Q4 matters a lot
It should surprise no one that Apple sells a significant percentage of its products during the holiday shopping season.
Over the last year, this company took in more revenue during Q4 than any other quarter, topping the next highest by 40 percent. A third of its annual income came during the last shopping season.
