Cyber Monday is one of the best times to buy an iPhone, iPad, MacBook or Apple Watch. Furthermore, Apple Cyber Monday 2018 sales have been announced with deals in every product category. But you’re in for a nasty surprise: almost every Apple iPhone deal should be avoided…

This is the first in my Cyber Monday ‘Nasty Surprises’ series. Working alongside BestBlackFriday.com, I’m analysing Cyber Monday 2018 sales to help you understand when high profile deals are not so special. No store is perfect and my Cyber Monday dedicated store guides are already live for Amazon (sale site), for Best Buy, for Target and for Walmart (sale site).

Now here’s the problem with Apple’s official Cyber Monday iPhone sales…

Apple

In short: they suck. Apple is famous for its Scrooge-like approach to the holiday sales season and this has continued in 2018. Below you will see a comparison of the official Apple Cyber Monday deals with the expected Cyber Monday deals from Apple partners, some of which you can buy right now.

Yes, Walmart and T-Mobile are blowing Apple’s deals out of the water but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Just behind these two, I expect solid Cyber Monday iPhone deals from Best Buy and from Target. I also expect Walmart to reintroduce its killer $99 iPhone 6 sale (Deal Page - currently awaiting stock).
