I thought I’d take a couple of minutes to talk about what mobile devices I’m presently using.

What mobile devices are you using?

I have a iPad mini which is the main mobile device that I carry with me especially when I’m travelling. I also extensively use my iPhone 5 and it’s great for sending messages, quick email responses and web look ups as well as taking and making calls.

Besides iPhone and iPad, what gadget can’t you live without?

My handstylus, stylus for the iPad. I use it extensively, great for writing notes on my iPad. I also have a fantastic worldwide travel adapter which I originally purchased from flight001, it’s awesome and comes with me everywhere. I also have a great portable battery for my mobile devices from TeckNet and this is a essential for travelling.

What is your office desk like?

Minimal, I have my MacBook Pro and MacBook on my desk. I also have a dock for my iPad mini and iPhone. I have a moleskin notebook and 5 android robots that Google sent me. I also have flowers on my desk, I love having flowers in my office it makes it smell good and they also look pretty, I have fresh white lilies delivered every week.

Do you listen to music at work?

It depends whether I am doing any shoots. Otherwise I listen to music through speakers plugged into my MacBook.

What’s your favorite to-do list manager?

Google tasks is awesome and synchronises right across my various computers including iPad and iPhone. I can’t live without it.

What everyday thing are you better at than anyone else?

I am chilled out, travelling has taught me how to be like this. Especially my visits to Brazil. You remember that your problems are out of insignificant compared to the third world favelas in Brazil. I smile more and live every day as if it’s my last. I also love travelling and like to get out of the UK at least once a month.

[From Stephen Trew] Apple iOS revenue is still leading. “the latest report shows that for every $1 generated in the iTunes App Store, $0.89 is being spent in the Amazon Appstore. Looking more broadly, the numbers show that just $0.23 are generated in the Google Play halls for every $1 spent in the App Store, but that’s hardly a new phenomenon; the ease of sideloading (amongst other factors) has raised complaints from Android developers for years now. ”

 [From Hans] Windows Phone about to overtake Blackberry for number 3 position in the smartphone wars. “Blackberry’s fall from grace has been good news for Microsoft, as Windows Phone is now poised to take over the third place spot in the mobile OS race. Projections based on current adoption rates indicate that Windows Phone users are expected to outnumber Blackberry’s faithful by November, according to web usage data from StatCounter.”

The Phonedog 30-day Samsung Galaxy S III challenge is still on and we are up to day 24. “The 30-day Samsung Galaxy S III challenge is getting close to being over, and everything continues to be good.  I’ve really enjoyed the battery life on the phone (that big 2,100 mAh battery is a nice one), and the HD display is fantastic.  I’ve had a slight bit of lag here and there, but overall, the US Galaxy S III continues to be my favorite Android smartphone. ”

[From Alan Dunne] The best feature of iOS6 is how iMessages to your mobile number also come to your iPad too, it’s a great enhancement and one that should have been implemented a long time ago.

 [From Hans] More iPhone 5 pictures emerge. “The parts don’t appear to be particularly revealing. We’ve seen similar componentsbefore with the exception of a close look at the new iPhone’s LCD screen.  The new screen is said to have increased to 4” in diagonal (up from 3.5") while preserving the same pixel density as the current iPhone design. This would provide apps with additional screen space to fill. UBreakiFix also provided a zoomed in photo of the top area with serial numbers and LCD connector. "

 [From Hans]  Have you checked out this SMS iPhone bug? “Security researchers have discovered an iPhone bug that allows for spoofed SMSes with bogus return addresses to be sent to fanboys. The bug creates a means for interested parties to send SMS messages to affected handsets that appear to come from any (arbitrary) number that the sender specifies. The issue specifically affects iPhone-fondlers because of the way Apple’s iOS handles the User Data Header component of SMS text messages, which defines advanced features only used in smartphones. Specifically, iPhones don’t display the phone number of the indivdual who sent you a message, just whatever name they choose to type in.”

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 gets unboxed by TracyandMatt Blog. “With screen sizes ranging from 5 inches through to 10.1 inches Samsung, thanks to it’s Note and Tab range, seem to have a tablet size to suite everyone. This week Samsung sent me over their new 10.1” Note to have a look at. Unlike the Tab range, the note come with a stylus-like S-PEN allowing handwriting and drawing on screen. “

Whilst I’ve been in Madrid this has been absolutely essential, especially very good for travelling and it is what you see above the TeckNet iEP390 Power Station 11000mAh External Battery pack. It charges my iPhone, iPad and most other mobile devices but as I have been trekking across Brazil this has been fantastic.
