Package-tracking app Deliveries has long been one of our favorite iOS apps, consolidating info on all our various package deliveries into one easy-to-use tool.

Thanks to a new update, it just got even better, too. Thanks to added support for iOS 12’s Siri Shortcuts, you can now check up on the latest status of in-transit deliveries using your voice. What could be easier?

Making online shopping even easier

The $4.99 app’s latest update lets you use Siri to find out when your next delivery is, check on all your deliveries, or add a new one. For anyone who uses online shopping regularly (which is surely the majority of people reading this), this tool helps make the experience even more seamless.

To get started, tap the gear icon in the app, then go to Siri Shortcuts, and then “add a new shortcut.” Siri Shortcuts will then require that you add a specific phrase, such as “show me my deliveries,” which will then display everything you are expecting that day.

It’s important to remember that, as with Alexa Skills on the Amazon Echo, Siri Shortcuts requires that you use the same phrase every time without varying it — so make sure that you choose the most convenient possible option.

For an in-depth guide on Siri Shortcuts and how to use it, check out this handy guide from my Cult of Mac colleague Charlie Sorrel. In my opinion, this is one of the most useful iOS 12 features, so it’s well worth getting to grips with. Especially as more and more apps add Shortcuts integration.
