Fortnite’s seventh season is just a few days away and fans are ready for another round of big changes to Battle Royale.

We’re all hoping for a snowy map makeover for the holidays, and Epic Games has all but confirmed we’ll get it with its first season seven teaser.

“A bitter ice spreads,” reads the tweet, published today from the official Fortnite account, that accompanied the teaser image above. In it, we see some kind of ice king inside a snowy mountain.

The image confirms suspicions that we’ll see more exciting changes to the Battle Royale map in just a few days.

Fortnite season 7 kicks off this week

Epic famously makes frequent changes to Fortnite to keep the game feeling fresh, and those changes have become bigger and bigger with each season. We expect season seven to continue that trend.

In recent weeks, a storm cloud has been making its way toward the Battle Royale island, while new snow sounds have been discovered in the game’s update files. As things stand, the only snowy area of the map is a single mountaintop.

That will almost certainly change this week. The leaks, alongside the teaser above, indicate winter is on the way. We should see new areas covered in snow, new cosmetics, and more wintery additions. We’ll also see a new Battle Pass filled with wintery rewards.

Season seven will kick off in three days — on Thursday, November 6. Are you ready?
