NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080, RTX 2070, RTX 2060 Mobility Specs Leaked By Chinese OEM
Well, what do we have here? It looks as though a Chinese hardware OEM has jumped the gun by dishing out some specs on NVIDIA's upcoming GeForce RTX Mobility lineup. The manufacturer in question is CJSCOPE, and the company has revealed specs for its HX-950 GX (15-inch) and HX-970 GX (17-inch) gaming notebooks.
According to the company, there will be three Turing SKUs available (at least initially), represented by “Mobility” versions of the GeForce RTX 2060, GeForce RTX 2070 and GeForce RTX 2080. All of the GPUs use the Mobile PCI Express Module (MXM) interface and will be used in rather bulky machines using desktop-class Intel Core i9 processors (which means that there will likely be more than adequate cooling to keep this GPUs under control).
The entry-level SKU will be the GeForce RTX 2060 MXM, which features 1536 CUDA cores and 6GB of GDDR6 memory. We're looking at a base clock of 1320MHz, while the boost clock checks at 1620MHz. Interestingly, systems featuring the GeForce RTX 2060 will reportedly be available on January 15th.
Moving on, we have the GeForce RTX 2070 MXM, which ups the ante with 2304 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6 memory. We also see appreciable gains in base/boost clocks which rise to 1410MHz and 1740MHz respectively.
Finally, we have the GeForce RTX 2080 MXM, which features 2944 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6 memory. Clock speeds are ratcheted up again, with base/boost clocks of 1515MHz and 1847MHz respectively. This particular SKU also is said to have even more headroom with 1860MHz+ overclocks.
We should caution that these aren't confirmed specs from NVIDIA, so we will have to take them with a grain of salt at this point. However, the specs don't seem too far off the mark considering what we've already learned about NVIDIA's GeForce RTX Mobility family. We’re likely to hear more about the GPUs next month at CES 2019, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
