CES 2019 bug If you’re looking for a mobile charging solution to power everything from your iPhone to your MacBook, LifeProof’s new LIFEACTÍV Power Pack 20 may be the product you’re looking for.

Offering a travel-friendly battery pack designed for phones, tablets, laptops, and hand-held gaming systems, it’s a rugged hunk of portable (waterproof) power that’s perfect for a weekend away.

The Power Pack 20 boasts dual 10,000-milliamp batteries and a 74-watt-hour capacity, complete with dual-roll USB-C connection. As mentioned, it’s also waterproof to depth of 6.6 feet for up to one hour (because you never know when you’ll want to take power pack swimming!) and drop proof to heights up to 6.6 feet.

According to its creators, it’s additionally sealed to prevent dirt or even snow from entering in it — and comes with a built-in flashlight to boot.

The device, debuted at CES 2019, is available starting today. It comes in black and costs $99.99.

Compared to some of the more “out there” gadgets seen at CES (*cough* smart diaper *cough*) a simple ruggedized power pack probably isn’t going to turn too many heads. As fas as genuinely useful gadgets go, however, it’s hard to think of something that could prove more transformative over the course of 2019.
