Intel’s chief strategy officer, Aicha Evans (pictured), is moving over to become CEO at driverless car start-up Zoox.
Zoox CEO and co-founder, Aussie Tim Kentley-Klay, was ousted in August after as CEO after a $500 million fund-raising round.
It was said that investors in the funding round suggested that a change of CEO would be a good idea.
Zoox’s board “chose a path of fear, optimizing for a little money in hand at the expense of profound progress for the universe,” said Kentley-Klay of his departure.
Zoox has about 700 employees working on an electric robot taxi.
