Four months after taking the wraps off its Surface Headphones, Microsoft has announced today the upcoming availability of the Cortana-powered noise-canceling headphones in eight new markets beginning in March. The announcement marks a wider global rollout for the Surface Headphones after the device arrived in the U.S. in early November 2018 followed by its release in the U.K. later that month.
The additional countries where the Redmond based giant will begin selling its headphones include Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, and Switzerland. There's no word on pricing for each market, though, but it's expected to vary in each territory. In the U.S., the Surface Headphones retail for $350, so there's a good chance the device will also go on sale in those new markets in the ballpark of that figure.
As a reminder, the headphones have a circular dial on the ear cups to let you adjust the volume or control the range of noise cancellation. The device also includes eight microphones to allow you to activate Cortana using your voice, plus a 3.5mm jack.
Additionally, Microsoft has launched the Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2, and Surface Studio 2 in more than 20 new markets today, though it didn't mention the specific regions. The wider release comes just two weeks after the Surface Pro 6 and Laptop 2 landed in India.
