Apple Reportedly Invites Hollywood Stars To Unveil Its Video Streaming Service At March 25th Event

A number of reports are suggesting that Apple is planning on unveiling its brand new video streaming service during a star-studded event on March 25th. An array of Hollywood stars will reportedly be on hand to bolster the offering and promote Apple’s service.

BuzzFeed had initially predicted that Apple would hold a March 25th event but paid no lip service to Apple’s rumored video streaming service.

Bloomberg has also now picked up the story and is suggesting that the event will go ahead as planned but will also feature the first glimpse at Apple’s streaming service which has been talked about and speculated on for an extremely long time. The outlet is also suggesting that Apple will throw a number of well-known stars into the mix to promote the service and show that it has serious backing:

The Cupertino, California-based technology giant is planning a March 25 event to announce both services, according to people familiar with the plan. The iPhone maker invited Hollywood stars, including Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Garner and director JJ Abrams, to attend.

Of course, Apple simply cannot just rely on the paid appearance of a number of Hollywood stars to make its services successful. There is little information available about the service at the moment but it’s being reported that the streaming service will be a “paid” subscription service so doesn’t look as though it will have a free tier backed by advertisements. It is also being suggested that it will be launched during the summer months with a number of Apple’s own TV shows and movies, some of which star Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, both of whom will be in attendance at the vent in March.

It is also being suggested that Apple’s service will be priced at $10.00 per month but, of course, that is subject to change and we will know more when Apple takes to the stage during the latter part of March. It will also be extremely interesting to see if Apple tries to push its Apple TV or iOS devices by offering some type of free content when the service launches. We will give more information as and when it becomes available closer to the time.
