It’s a choice that often divides friendship circles and even families - are you iPhone or Android?

Now, a new survey has revealed the kinds of people who are more inclined to be an iPhone or Android fan.

The survey, by Better Buy insurance, used data collected by YouGov and found that there are several personality traits linked to phone choice.

Gary Beeston from Better Buy, said: “While, of course, your phone doesn’t – and shouldn’t - define you, it’s impossible to deny that there are some interesting and amusing correlations surrounding somebody’s choice of handset.

“What’s most clear, however, is that the iPhone v Android debate will most likely never be settled!”

The results revealed that iPhone users are generally more family-orientated, being 18% more likely to say they ‘value family over everything’ than Android users.

Meanwhile, Android users were 11% more likely to feel they have poor social skills, and are 6% less worried about fitting in with society.

Your phone choice also appears to be linked to your shopping habits.

The survive found that iPhone users are more likely to shop in M&S and ASAO, while Android users are more likely to shop at George at Asda.

And while iPhone users are more likely to pop out for a cheeky Nandos, you’re more likely to see Android users in Greggs.
