Google+ won't be the only Google service killed off on April 2, as Inbox by Gmail looks set to join the party too.

We’ve known for a while now that Google is planning to shut down its Inbox by Gmail app. Now, it looks like we’ve got a definitive shutdown date for the trailblazing service.

According to notifications received by reddit users (h/t: 9to5Google) yesterday, Inbox by Gmail will be shutting down in 15 days. That means you can expect the service to shutter on April 2.

The notification also prompts users to switch to the Gmail app, claiming that “all your favorite Inbox features” are in the main app. Google indeed brought several Inbox features to Gmail last year, including smart replies, nudges and email snoozing.

Google is reportedly testing more Inbox features in Gmail, including pinned emails and email bundles. So it looks like Inbox users shouldn’t have a terribly painful transition come April 2.

This isn’t the only Google service scheduled for shutdown on the same day, as Google+ will be closing on April 2 as well. These services will be joining a lengthy list of failed Google products, which can be found at the link.
