iPhone 11 launch date leaks from Verizon

The 2019 iPhone could have a much larger camera bump than any predecessor.

Information reportedly leaking from the largest US wireless carrier reveals when Apple’s next handset is going to launch. However, the timing is not a surprise so it’s not clear if Verizon has inside information or if the company is just guessing based on previous iPhone launch dates.

The next iPhone will launch in the latter part of September, according to a Tweet from frequent leaker Evan Blass. A graphic shows the date being approximately Sept. 20.

Update: Apple just took the wraps off the the iPhone 11, as well as the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max. All these models can be pre-ordered starting Friday, September 13 and will debut one week later, on September 20.

Again, this is in-line with Apple’s previous practices. The launch date for the iPhone XS series was Sept. 21, 2018. The iPhone 8 hit store shelves on Sept. 22, 2017, while the iPhone 7 launched Sept. 16, 2016.

It’s possible this leak from Verizon could be based on information coming straight from Apple — the carrier is undoubtedly going to offer the iPhone 11. But it could also just be a prediction of a future event based on past practices.

The same graphic allegedly from this carrier shows the Samsung Galaxy Note10 debuting in late August, and the Google Pixel 4 coming out in late October.

iPhone 11 rumors

Quite a few details about the 2019 iPhone have leaked out already. A nearly overwhelming number of reports point to it being the first in this line with three camera lenses. A 12MP front-facing one is also rumored, as is the ability to wirelessly recharge an Apple Watch or other device. A faster processor is a safe bet.

However, virtually all sources agree that the 2019 iPhone models will have the same range of display sizes as the current ones: 6.5 inches,, 6.1 in., and 5.9 in.
