AMD beats Intel's i9 processors in the latest benchmark tests

AMD is expected to launch their 3rd Generation Ryzen ‘Zen 2’ processors on July 7th and just days before the launch, new benchmarks have been leaked online. Spotted first by a Twitter user (via Forbes), the new benchmarks destroy Intel’s i9 processors in terms of performance.
The AMD Ryzen series has always been a direct competitor of Intel and the former has usually lost the performance race. However, AMD has done some major changes in recent years and has given tough competition to Intel. According to the latest benchmarks, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X operates at a TDP of 65 watts and delivers a clock speed of 3.6 to 4.4 GHz. The Intel Core i9-9900K, on the other hand, operates at 95 watts and achieved a clock speed of 5.0 GHz using Turbo Boost. While Intel seems to be winning, the Ryzen 7 costs $329 while Core i9-9900k costs $499.
The clock speed is definitely not the only performance measure and there are several different benchmarking softwares that test different aspects of a processor. Upon comparing the other benchmarks of both Intel and AMD, the latter managed to beat the former at image processing (by 15%), and media processing (by 9%).
