HEXUS reported upon AMD's latest software updates and the release of its Q2 2019 financials yesterday. As is often the case, some juicy news morsels have come from the post-results conference call recorded between investors and senior AMD management. You can access the conference call recording here, sorry no transcript, but you will have to log in and skip forward in the webcast recording to about 28 minutes for the segment I will quote below.

In the Q&A, an investor / analyst enquired of AMD's Dr Lisa Su:

  • Q: Can you give us a sense on 7nm high-end NAVI and mobile 7nm CPUs
  • A: You asked a good product question. I would say they are coming. You should expect that our execution on those are on track and we have a rich 7nm portfolio beyond the products that we have already announced in the upcoming quarters.

Above, Su confirms both more powerful and mobile Navi GPUs are on the way. With regard to the former, Sapphire has already registered Radeon RX 5000 series models out beyond the RX 5700 series that are already available to consumers. In late June @Komachi shared a screenshot from the EEC portal which listed the likes of an AMD RX 5800 and RX 5900 series, as well as lower echelon RX 5600 and RX 5500 cards.

Meanwhile, more and more custom design RX 5700 models are showing up on the internet

Additionally there were some leaks last week with regard to a product featuring a GPU codenamed Navi 12 with 64 CUs (4096 SPs). It lead to various outlets pondering over an RX 5800 Series of cards, coming to replace the Radeon VII and threaten Nvidia's higher-end and halo gaming cards.
