On this day IBM released first modern computer

On this day the first modern computer was released for the common people. It was IBM 5150. Costing $1,565 this computer made a significant impact on the world over. The vast majority of today's desktops and laptops are direct descendants of IBM's first PC. Before IBM PC business computers existed which were not intended for a single person's use. Personal computers existed prior to the IBM PC but IBM 5150 was different as it was a portable" computer. It weighed just 55 pounds and could carry out in a special travel case.
