Huawei Australia has appointed Paul Jowett to the role of director of marketing for its consumer business group.
Jowett joins from Apple, where he held roles in ANZ partner marketing. Before that, he was head of channel marketing at Samsung.

At Huawei, Jowett will be tasked with leading the company’s consumer marketing efforts to “help bring the company’s world-class line-up of smartphones, PCs and wearables to more users”.

“Paul has unrivalled knowledge of the Australian technology landscape and will be vital to fuelling further growth in our consumer business. Huawei has been present in the Australian market for 15 years already and will continue to bring its leading technology to the region,” said managing director of Huawei consumer business group in Australia, Larking Huang.

Ebany Draper also joined Huawei recently
Recently, Huawei also named Ebany Draper as PR manager for consumer, lifestyle and events. Draper had previously worked in roles at Destination NSW, NBC Universal, Viacom International Media Networks and Discovery Networks, and reports to Candice Lester, head of consumer PR, who began in January.
