Apple plans to stream Tuesday’s big iPhone 11 event on YouTube.

It’s the first time the company has used Google’s platform for a live keynote. It will make it easier than ever for fans to tune into the action on almost any platform.

Apple has been slowly expanding the availability of its live-streams. There was a time when it was difficult to watch its events if you didn’t own Apple devices. But that’s no longer the case.

Apple added support for Google Chrome back in 2015, while last year’s iPhone event was streamed on Twitter for the first time. Now its events are finally coming to the biggest video platform there is.

A YouTube stream makes it even easier for Apple fans to watch its event in real-time on September 10. Almost every platform out there has a YouTube app, or YouTube access via a browser.

This isn’t good news for Android users, but also those tuning in on third-party TV platforms — such as Android TV and Amazon Fire TV.

Other ways to watch include the Apple Events app on Apple TV, and, of course, Safari on any Apple device.

What to expect on September 10

It would certainly be a good idea to tune into Apple’s event if you have the time. We know the iPhone 11 refresh will be the star of the show, but we’re expecting other big things, too.

Apple could surprise us with an iPad Pro refresh, and we may see an update to Apple Watch. Recent whispers have suggested we will get a new Apple TV, too, a perhaps a glimpse at a new MacBook Pro.

Apple is also expected to introduce its new Tile-style tracking devices, while there will almost certainly be updates on upcoming services like Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade.

If you won’t be around to enjoy the keynote live, you’ll be able to find all the news as it breaks right here on Cult of Mac.
