CLIX will not be going to the dark side. Apple's Dark Mode is indeed attractive, even if somewhat limited, but changes to Apple's underlying APIs make the move inadvisable.

Although CLIX is used internally at Apple, changes to Apple's system code in many areas make such a move imprudent. CLIX will continue to run flawlessly on current and future versions of your operating system - but only in white.

Hermetically Sealed

CLIX is protected from tampering with a technology far surpassing Apple's 'code-signing'. Downloading from Apple's App Store does not ensure that you're safe.

The CLIX protection scheme cannot be tampered with. Apple's 'code-signing' is easily defeated, CLIX is not. Any sign of tampering, at any time, in any session, for any reason, and CLIX will refuse to continue.

As a matter of professional policy, CLIX is available only through this website. Should you encounter a download available from any other site, please report it.

6,000 Commands?

Nobody's bothered to perform a final tally, but the number of CLIX commands in this download should approach or exceed 6,000 (six thousand). These commands range from OS versions 10.4 ('Tiger') to the present and beyond ('Mojave' and 'Catalina').

Some commands for older versions may lack the '-S' switch for 'sudo'. You'll see the diagnostic:

sudo: no tty present and no askpass program specified

You need only append '-S' to your instances of 'sudo' and run again. Apple lagged behind the official OpenBSD release of sudo by some eighteen months after this security feature was introduced.
