According to a report by seasoned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s 2020 iPhone redesign will resemble an updated iPhone 4. But what would such a handset look like? A stunning concept by Aziz Ghaus and Ben Geskin gives us an idea.

Check them out below.

The concept depicts two handsets in 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch sizes in gold.

The biggest change from this year’s iPhone 11 and 11 Pro is the flatter, Braun-inspired aesthetic with boxier, squared-off edges. This is something Apple has moved away from with the rounded edges of every iPhone since the iPhone 6 in 2014. (With the exception of the iPhone SE, which used the iPhone 5’s form factor.)

However, Apple may have started to move away from it. Its 2018 iPad Pro featured flat edges which harked back to the iPhone 4. Although possibly designed for easier Apple Pencil charging, this offers a preview of how future iPhone designs could look.

iPhone concept: What else is coming next with the 2020 iPhones?

In addition to the new design, the 2020 iPhones will supposedly opt for OLED displays with every model. There will also be 5G capabilities for the first time, and a new processor created with TSMC’s 5-nanometer technology.

What do you think of this concept design? Is this a handset you would happily pay for in 2020? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
