Teary face time: Girl, 12, weeps with joy and has a VERY emotional reaction when she is given her first iPhone a year earlier than expected

  • Kimora Wolfe, 12, was told by her mum she couldn't have phone until she was 13
  • But mum Takoaya felt bad when her classmates were allowed to use their phone when they finished a test early
  • To celebrate the honor student's school performance they got her an iPhone XR
  • Kimora is recorded breaking down in tears at family home in Atlanta, Georgia

A 12-year-old girl broke down in hysterical tears when her parents surprised her with her first-ever mobile - an iPhone XR.

Emotional Kimora Wolfe had no idea the gift was coming, because for years her mom Takoaya, 34, had told her she wouldn't be allowed a phone like her friends' until she turned 13.

But, thanks to Kimora's hard work in school, Takoaya decided to reward her daughter a year early - placing an iPhone XR among the more expected gifts on her 12th birthday.

Standing in her family home in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 13, Kimora opened various items of clothing, which she then proceeded to hold up in front of her family.

Then, picking up a small box wrapped in paper, Kimora began to open the package, only to immediately burst into tears of joy as she realized what was inside.

Takoaya captured the loving moment on film, laughing at her stunned daughter's reaction.

She posted the adorable video on Facebook, saying: 'My big girl has been asking for an iphone for foreverrr.

'She would say "Mommy all my friends have a phone and I don't and they always ask me what my # (number) is." '

Kimora then ran over to give her mom a hug, thanking her before sitting down to ball her eyes out some more.

According to Takoaya, her daughter had been asking for an iPhone since she was around 9, as she likes watching YouTube, dancing videos and Ellen.

'When she broke down, I was laughing, but my face was full of tears of joy, seeing my baby showing her emotions and being thankful for it filled my heart with so much joy,' Kimora's mother Takoaya said

She had been reluctant to give one to Kimora, but after hearing that, following a recent school test, her daughter's classmates were allowed to play on their phones if they finished early, Takoaya said she felt bad - especially considering how well her daughter, an honor student, was doing in middle school.

She said: 'I didn't expect that reaction from her at all - I was looking for her to jump up and down or something.

'The amount of love we received from this video was amazing, some say they were having a bad day and this video made them smile and cry.

'She's a good child, an honor student, and has the purest heart.'
