Adobe Creative Cloud mobile fontsAdobe has updated is Creative Cloud mobile apps with access to more than 17,000 fonts. The fonts can be used on those mobile apps running on iOS 13.1 or later which support Adobe’s custom font APIs. The announcement was made with a blog post on Adobe’s web site.

Adobe makes the apps available for download for free from the App Store. Those users without an active Creative Cloud subscription are limited to 1,300 fonts included with the apps, while those with active subscriptions gain access to the 17,000 now available with this new update.

Adobe’s announcement builds on the foundation that Apple has already laid. In June, Apple announced plans to support custom fonts in iOS 13, bolstering iOS’s appeal for creative professionals looking for a more flexible workflow.

Adobe notes that font use in Creative Cloud mobile apps is unlimited. All Adobe Fonts are licensed for personal and commercial use, and there are no extra charges incurred to use the 17,000 fonts.

What’s more, Adobe also updated the Creative Cloud iOS apps with support for iOS 13’s Dark Mode. Some improvements have also been made for iPad input using the Apple Pencil.
