Apple seeds first betas of iOS 13.3, iPadOS 13.3, tvOS 13, watchOS 6.1.1 to developers [Updated]

In late October, Apple released iOS 13.2 and iPadOS 13.2 to the public. Now the company is looking ahead to the mobile operating system’s next minor update.

Update (11/06/2019): Apple has also seeded the corresponding public beta of iOS 13.3, iPadOS 13.3, and tvOS 13.3 to public beta testers. If you are already part of the public beta test program, then the new pre-release software can now be installed on your registered device(s).

If you are not already signed up, but want to be, you can sign up at Apple’s official Beta Software Program site.

Apple on Tuesday seeded the first betas of iOS 13.3 and iPadOS 13.3 to developers. As indicated by the uptick in version number, it’s possible this is a pretty big update as far as new features are concerned. However, it’s also possible this is a minor update in the grand scheme of things, and, as a result, there may not be any major forward facing new features added to the mix.

This beta is available to developers only for now. For devs to update their devices, they will need to make sure they are properly registered and have the correct configuration profile installed. The new software can be downloaded and installed from Apple’s developer portal.

Looking back, the public launch of iOS 13.2 brought with it quite a few new features. That includes Deep Fusion for even better photographs taken with the iPhone 11/iPhone 11 Pro’s camera(s), more than 70 new emoji options, and more. You can check out all of the new things in iOS 13.2 right here.

As far as what’s new in this latest beta, that remains unclear. And while it’s unlikely it will include any major new additions in the features department, if anything new is discovered we will update this post accordingly.

It’s possible that iOS 13.3 will fix what’s being called “aggressive” RAM management in the mobile operating system. Apple may also aim to fix this particular option in a separate update, so we will have to wait and see.

Apple also seeded the first beta of tvOS 13.3 to developers as well.

Finally, Apple also seeded the first beta of watchOS 61.1.1 to developers. To update the Apple Watch to the latest beta, the smartwatch must have at least 50% battery life, be connected to its charger, and also be within range and connected to the iPhone.

The first developer betas of iOS 13.3, iPadOS 13.3, tvOS 13.3, and watchOS 6.1.1 are available now.
