The wait for iOS 13.3 is apparently almost over. A Vietnamese telecom revealed that this iPhone upgrade will be out by the end of the week.

The same source indicates that watchOS 6.1.1 is also imminent.

iOS 13.3 is right around the corner

Vietnam’s Viettel gave instructions for its new eSIM program, which is set to begin Dec. 13. The how-to guide indicates that iPhones participating must be running iOS 13.3 or higher. Of course, the most recent version publicly available is iOS 13.2.3.

Plus, Viettel’s eSIM instructions say watchOS 6.1.1 is a requirement, and that’s not out either.

Both the iPhone and Apple Watch have been in beta testing for a month though, so we know what they’ll offer.

Bring on the Screen Time improvements

iOS 13.3 includes Screen Time Communication Limits, which enable parents to restrict a child to talking or messaging with a specified list of contacts after hours. This is a feature that’s been expected for months.

And this iPhone update lets users hide Animoji stickers from the emoji keyboard. Other changes might be included as well.

It’s a long shot, but iOS 13.3 might be the version necessary for AirTags, the rumored item-tracker tags that promise to help users to locate bags, keys and assorted other valuables.

There are no known new features in watchOS 6.1.1. It’s just a “bug fix” update, apparently.
