  • Microsoft is adding a new Walkie Talkie feature to Microsoft Teams that lets co-workers communicate instantly via the company’s workplace communication app.
  • The push-to-talk tool will roll out in private preview in the first half of this year. See Microsoft’s full blog post for more details and other new Teams features coming later this year such as SMS sign-in, “Tasks,” workforce management integrations, shared device sign-out, and more.
  • Microsoft said in November that Teams had grown to 20 million daily users, a 50 percent bump over four months. Bloomberg reported Thursday that IKEA shifted more than 70,000 workers to Teams. Teams competes with Slack.
