Seven's Code is a rhythm-action game with an anime inspired story that's available now for iOS and Android

Seven's Code is a rhythm-action game from Applibot Inc that's available now for iOS and Android. It's presented with a neon-coloured, anime-inspired story where you'll be battling various enemies in time to the beat.

That means you know it's going to have an over-the-top story. Set in the year 2025 the titular Seven's Code is a futuristic entertainment metropolis where people are supposed to just have a good time. A modern-day paradise, but we've all played enough games at this point to know that's not really the case.

Players will follow the story of Yuito Kashihara – a high ranking member of the city's security force – as he gets thrown into a series of trials because of a girl named Aurora. From there he embarks on a mission to discover what's really going on in Seven's Code.

As you progress through the story you'll have to do battle with a plethora of enemies through the power of rhythm-based action. Much like in a game like Guitar Hero, notes will float down the screen and you will have to respond to them accordingly. Each type of note will be hit by a different touch screen action and will lower the enemies health bar.

There are four types of notes that will require you to either Charge, Reflect, Chain or Slash them in time to the music. Charge is holding down as the note passes through the bottom of the screen and letting go at the right moment for bonus damage. Meanwhile, Reflect and Slash are tapping and flicking respectively. Finally, Charge requires you to hold down and follow the pattern the note makes on the screen.

Seven's Code is available now on the App Store and Google Play. It's a premium title that costs $3.99 with further in-app purchases available too. However, you can try a few levels of the game for free if you're an Android user.
