FlyTunes has expanded its its free iPhone and iPod Touch service to include news and entertainment videos from Comedy Central, NBC, CBS and others, plus podcasts from various sources.

Since its January launch FlyTunes has allowed allowed iPhone and iPod Touch owners to listen tostreaming radio using fromAccuRadio and other webcasters.

In my initial tests videos played flawlessly over a Wi-Fi connection, although when I disabled Wi-Fi and tried to watch them over AT&T Edge network, they wouldn't load. Audio webcasts and podcasts, however, play just fine over the Edge connection.

"Themobile Internet is a completely new paradigm for content and addelivery, very different from traditional broadcast radio and TV," said Sam Abadir, CEO of FlyTunes. "[Our service] offers an unmatchedvariety of media that our customers can personalize to match theirtastes and enjoy anywhere they go on the device that they already own."

FlyTunes also redesigned their navigation so that no channel is ever farther away than two dropdown selections and a click, while a newly-customizable channel guide lets you breeze through your own line-up, rather than hunting through FlyTunes' full selection.

FlyTunes.fm is free to use. You can sort of see what it's like by surfing there on your computer's browser, although for some reason the new interface only shows up via iPhone (and, I assume, iPod Touch).
