Hardware and software music company, MOTU on Monday introduced a new bus-powered audio FireWire interface.
The UltraLite-mk3 features onboard effects and mixing, XLR/TRS combo mic inputs with preamps, and true hi-Z guitar inputs. The unit has a total of 10 inputs and 14 outputs, 192 kHz analog I/O, a 32-bit floating point DSP for digital mixing and effects processing, and front-panel LCD programming.
Effects can be applied when the device is operating as a standalone mixer, without the need for a computer. Effects include reverb, parametric EQ, compression and limiting. The effects can be applied on every input or output, according to MOTU.
The settings on the UltraLite-mk3 can be controlled using the company’s new CueMix FX control software, which is available for Mac OS X.
The UltraLite-mk3 will be available this summer for $599.
